or termination.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Account Creation
To purchase lottery tickets, you must create an account by providing:
- Full legal name
- Valid email address
- Phone number
- Date of birth
- Residential address
- Government-issued ID (for verification)
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
-
Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account
credentials
-
All activities that occur under your account, whether authorized by
you or not
-
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Canada Lucky Point will never ask you for your password via email or
phone. Do not share your credentials with anyone.
3.3 Account Restrictions
- You may only create one account per person
- Accounts cannot be transferred or sold to others
- Creating multiple accounts may result in permanent suspension
4. Lottery Ticket Purchases
4.1 How It Works
Canada Lucky Point acts as an authorized lottery ticket purchasing
service. When you place an order:
- You select your lottery and lucky numbers
-
We purchase an official physical lottery ticket on your behalf from
an authorized retailer
- We scan and upload the ticket to your account
-
You retain full ownership of the ticket and any prizes it may win
4.2 Pricing and Fees
-
Lottery tickets are sold at the official face value set by the
lottery corporation
-
We charge a service fee (typically $1-$2 per
ticket) for purchasing, scanning, and managing your tickets
- All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD)
-
Prices are subject to change; current prices apply at checkout
4.3 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Debit cards (Interac)
- Pre-authorized deposits from your bank account
All payments are processed securely through PCI DSS-compliant payment
processors.
4.4 Order Confirmation and Ticket Delivery
-
You will receive an email confirmation once your order is placed
-
Physical tickets are purchased before the draw deadline and scanned
within 24 hours
-
Scanned ticket images are uploaded to your account and emailed to
you
-
Original physical tickets are stored securely at our facility until
the draw is complete
4.5 Cancellations and Refunds
Once a lottery ticket order is placed, it cannot be canceled or
refunded.
This is because:
-
Physical tickets are purchased immediately from official retailers
- Lottery corporations do not allow ticket cancellations
-
Tickets become invalid after the draw deadline, making refunds
impractical
Exception: If we fail to purchase your ticket before
the draw deadline due to a technical error on our part, we will issue
a full refund.
5. Winnings and Prize Claims
5.1 Win Notifications
We check all tickets after each draw and notify winners immediately
via:
- Email to your registered email address
- SMS to your registered phone number
- In-app notification in your account dashboard
5.2 Prize Collection
For Prizes Under $1,000:
-
Winnings are automatically deposited into your Canada Lucky Point
account balance
-
You can withdraw funds to your bank account or use them to purchase
more tickets
- Processing time: 1-3 business days
For Prizes Between $1,000 and $10,000:
-
We assist you with the prize claim process at the lottery
corporation's regional office
- You may need to complete tax forms and identity verification
- Funds are deposited directly to your bank account
For Prizes Over $10,000:
-
Major prizes must be claimed in person at the lottery corporation's
head office
-
We provide the original physical ticket and assist with scheduling
your appointment
- You are responsible for claiming the prize yourself
- Tax reporting is required for prizes over $600
5.3 Service Fees on Winnings
Canada Lucky Point does NOT charge any commission or fees on your
winnings.
You receive 100% of your prize, minus any applicable taxes required by
law.
5.4 Unclaimed Prizes
If you do not claim a prize within the lottery corporation's deadline
(typically 1 year from the draw date), the prize will be forfeited and
returned to the lottery corporation's unclaimed prize fund. We will
make reasonable efforts to contact you before the expiration deadline.
